Which Oracle EPM applications does EPM Mate support?

Oracle EPM Cloud: Planning (including EPBCS and FreeForm), Financial Consolidation and Close (FCCS), Account Reconciliation (ARCS) and Enterprise Data Management (EDMCS). EPM Mate is licensed per cloud application; EPM Auditor can import Shared Services exports so an access review includes on-prem HFM users, but on-prem applications are not counted as applications.

Where does EPM Mate run?

Hosted by Caresoft on Microsoft Azure, or deployed in your own Azure tenant. Either way, credentials for your Oracle environments are held in Azure Key Vault, and every action in the suite is written to a full audit trail in SQL.

Do we need to connect EPM Mate to our systems to start?

No. EPM Auditor can start on flat-file loads of the extracts you already pull (identity domain, application security, directory, GRC policies), hosted by Caresoft, with nothing installed on your side. Direct connectors follow when your security team is ready. EPM TestMate needs a service account on a test pod.

Does anyone need to write test scripts?

No. In EPM TestMate, functional users define test cases in a wizard, group them, and arrange test plans by drag and drop. Playwright browser automation and EPM Automate run them.

How does the monthly Oracle update fit in?

Oracle applies its monthly update to test pods on the first Friday of the month and to production on the third Friday. EPM TestMate's patch-cycle run book follows that calendar: baseline before, post-patch run and compare after, sign-offs, and the audit package at the end.

What does EPM Admin's Batch Job Studio actually generate?

An EPM Automate workflow, with PowerShell where needed, built from a plain-English description. You can review the steps, refine them, see the generated script, run it with live output, and schedule it. Destructive commands on production require type-to-confirm and administrator rights.

How does EPM Auditor handle the user access review?

It pulls users, groups and roles from your Oracle identity domain and from application-level security such as ARCS and Task Manager, enriches them from Active Directory, routes each user to the right approver by business unit or to the user's manager, collects keep or remove decisions in a reviewer workbench, executes removals through the APIs, and re-pulls access to reconcile before quarter end. Self-approval is blocked and every decision is signed and timestamped. The evidence pack comes out in the form audit requests ask for: report runs with parameters and timestamps, every reviewer's response, removals, and admin and native-account listings.

Does EPM Auditor replace our GRC tool?

No. Segregation-of-duties policies stay in your GRC tool, such as AuditBoard (Optro); EPM Auditor imports them, maps them to EPM roles and groups, and checks every user against them on every pull. Results and evidence packs export back to the GRC tool and to auditors.

Can we adopt one utility without the others?

Yes. Each utility stands on its own and is priced on its own; the suite costs two utilities, not four. The product switcher and the shared evidence trail connect whichever ones you run.

Who sees what?

Role-based access across the suite: administrators, testers, business users and reviewers see what their role needs. EPM Auditor also provides a read-only auditor workspace.

How does a proof of concept work?

You pick one application; Caresoft runs the relevant utility on it with your own data at no cost; you review the results and decide. Nothing is signed to start: scope is agreed by email, and the proof of concept runs on flat-file extracts or a test pod, hosted by Caresoft, with nothing installed on your side. When the calendar allows, two run at once: the monthly update for EPM TestMate and your live quarterly review for EPM Auditor. Roll-out is delivered at a fixed price for the agreed scope.

What is the EPM Mate Managed Service?

An option on any package: Caresoft's EPM Center of Excellence maintains the test cases, runs the monthly update cycle, runs the quarterly access-review campaigns with your administrators, keeps the CoE Portal current, upgrades EPM Mate monthly and prepares the evidence packs for every audit request, within a set number of hours a month.

Who builds and supports EPM Mate?

Caresoft Inc., a Princeton, New Jersey consultancy specializing in Oracle EPM and finance transformation for Fortune 500 clients, with an in-house Oracle EPM Center of Excellence. Caresoft is ISO 27001, SOC 2 and CMMI certified and an Oracle PartnerNetwork member.

The next Oracle update is already on the calendar.

Run the proof of concept alongside it: your own application, your own data, at no cost. Then fixed-cost delivery with no run-rate surprise.
